Cricket Investigation

what i did was i drew the container and the stuff in it witch was apples and vegetable and then we put the cricket in and i put my pencil on the paper were the cricket was standing and then i followed were ever he went with my pencil

what i learn today was that the cricket that we tested likes to hang out near the apples but it was  not eating it i think the cricket was not hungry so he didn't eat it because he did eat none we put him in both corner but he did eat any of them but he does like to hang out near the apple i guess he likes fruits better then vegetables

Cricket Investigation

our group picked do crickets prefer fruits or vegetables

hypothiesis: if i put the vegetables on one corner and fruit in the other then witch one will the cricket go to?

background research:i saw the different types of crickets there are lots of differnt types and they all eat diffrent types of food

This week we were asking dichotomous key questions i asked witch side will they like better the dark side or the light side and we did a chart and we worked with jelly beans we made a flow chart that made it easy to know witch bean was witch. list chart style was harder to see flow chart style you just had to look under yes or no and it would tell you just by looking on top the question would be like is it red if its not then you would put it under no if it was u put it under no and you would know the bean by looking at what color it would be or does it have stains

This week in science i learned how to make a flow chart and how to ask dichotomous key questions
i learned witch chart is easier to use and we had to pick witch one was better for a 5th grader we picked a flow chart because it was easy for us and all u have to do is look at it its easier to look at you can get right away

This Week In Science #3

This week in science we learned about animal behavior we watched videos and took notes we watched a video about a parrot that's rare there only 2 in the world i think and it got on the guys neck and it was beating him but it was trying to mate with him and we wrote down notes and then we were watching 2 cats fighting and then we got some crickets and we studied there behavior and they were jumping around and some were dead my group thought they were eating each other they were not making noise when we got them for some reason

this week in Science #4

Brassica rape
This week in Science i finished my project and i was the one that had to do the graph and chart and we got everything done and all we need to do is each a conclusion we did it on a plant called brassica rape a fast plant we measured the amount of water to see witch one would grow the most on of the cups was over water the other was under water and the other was just right and the under water grew the most but my group deosnt know why the one that was least water grew the most 

This week in science i learned how to make a graph on google documents and and last week we learned how to graph a chart with the numbers that they gave us. We did one on the class we had to ask them witch one they like the best and then we had to put it on a graph.

this week in science we learned about testable questions and we learned how to explain to some on how to do it cause you have to be specific cause if you aren't that person might just do it wrong if you don't explain it correctly and we made a chart about breakfast lunch and dinner and we went around to ask witch they liked better and we made a chart and only 3 boys voted and each one picked different choices

This Week In Science #2

so we played with poppers on Tuesday to see what they do and how they work and Thursday we planted Brasscai Rapa and to see how fast they grow

this week i learned about testable questions and how they can be answered the questions where on the poppers David gave us poppers on Tuesday we planted Brasscai rapa i learn that it's one of the fastest growing plants in the world and it makes mustard
